My name is Sydney Merrell and I am from Denver, Colorado. I attend Carleton College, where I am pursuing an environmental studies major and a Chinese minor. I began to learn Mandarin when I was three years old, and have spent time studying in Taiwan at National Tsing Hua University through a Fulbright-Hays fellowship. In my free time I play ultimate frisbee with Carleton’s D1 womxn’s team; Syzygy. I also love to paint and customize shoes and water bottles.
